My sister is having surgury tommorow****UPDATED***

Hi All,
My sister is going in tommorow morning at 7am for surgury. She is having RNY and Dr Pohl is her Doctor. I am very nervous for all the reasons I choose band over by-pass. I also had dr Roye so I do not have the "I was fine so will she out look".  I know from all you peeps that Dr Pohl is a great Dr and she is in good hand....I JUST NEED TO HEAR IT AGAIN!!!

I AM HAPPY TO SAY EVERYTHING WENT PERFECT AND LAST NIGHT WHEN I VISITED SHE WAS UP AND WALKING AROUND. SHE IS IN RM 445 AND SHARING A ROOM WITH ANOTHER BYPASS PATIENT. THANKS FOR ALL YOUR WELL WISHES!!!!!!

I know that you're going to worry anyway, but I figured I'd offer up my experience... I had RNY surgery with Dr. Pohl and he was really great! Surgery was done in under an hour. I was really nervous before having surgery because of something that had happened to someone very dear to me, but Dr. Pohl made me feel that I was in the best hands possible (plus, I knew at least one other woman that I worked with that had great results with Dr. Pohl as her surgeon).

Hope that hearing from one of his other patients helps at least a little! Best wishes to your sister!!

 Your sister is in good hands.  I had surgery a month ago with Dr. Pohl and he is great.  My niece also had Dr. Roye and she loved him. She had the bypass.  I will keep your sister in my thoughts and prayers.

I also had/have Dr. Pohl! I absolutely adore him! He has a great bedside manner AND he's rated as one of the most highly respected surgeons in his field! All in one package! He came to the hospital every day to visit me and answered any and all questions I had, as well as, my family had!

You're sister is in great hands!

i am sure she would love a visitor and she will have many questions I am sure. Her name is Melissa Piazza and I will let you know what room she will be in. I am sure she will be in at least til Friday.  Thank you all sooo much!

  I also had Dr. Pohl.  I know I never felt more safe with any other doctor then I did him.  He is a great man and knows  his stuff.   Your sister is in great hands.  She will be in my thoughts and prays.  Keep us posted.

Dr Pohl is AWESOME! I have told him if I ever have to have surgery that he can perform I want him to do it. Your sister is in wonderful hands and has nothing to worry about!

 I had Dr. Pohl for my surgery - I did great and so did everyone else I know who has had him. I wish your sister the best of luck!!
