Watch out Barbie, here comes Plastic Angela.

Ok, as some of you know I've been talking about how much I'm going to need plastics for a while. Well, I've scheduled my first plastics consult. After asking a few others and talking it over with my PCP and Dr Pohl I figured it was time to get the ball rolling since it probably wont be a fast moving train and I'm where I want to be and have basically stabilized. 
I'll be seeing Dr Pamela Antoniuk on Dec 4. She was recommended by Dr Pohl and after talking with her office I was really pleased with how pleasant they were. Best of all...when I asked how much the consult was going to be, the girl at her office told me Nothing. She said my insurance will cover the consult with them as long as my PCP sends over a referral. So I called up my PCP and they immediately faxed one over for me. (My PCP is awesome! He's already told me he'll help however he can in trying to get insurance to cover part of plastics!)
I'm so excited! I cant wait to see what this doctor has to say about what needs to be done. And of course, I'll be keeping everyone updated!
 

That is so cool Angela.  Let me know what you think of the doctor beacause you know down the road  I might need to see this doctor too.  lol...  I still can not get over how good you looked the other day when I saw you at trader joes.   Keep up the good work.

I met with Dr. Antoniuk and she is very nice and doesn't rush you at all.  I think I was with her for at least an hour and we went through all the areas of my body I want to improve.   

Unfortunately had my band issues and never ended up getting the plastics, but down the road I will definately be going back to her when the time comes.

I had Dr Antoniuk do my breast reduction 4 years ago and it was the best thing I ever did.  She is awesome, I am meeting her again this week on Tuesday to go over my option for a tummy tuck or lower body lift.  Her office staff is great and will answer any and all questions you have.

 I was under the impression that you needed to wait 2 years before your can have plastic surgery after weight loss surgery.  That is one of the reasons that I haven't even started my reseach.

I figure I'll be 18 months before anything actually gets done Nancy, but Dr Pohl has given me the go ahead. I'm where I want to be,  He doesnt want me to lose any more and I'm pretty much stable now.
We'll see what Dr Atoniuk says when I see her next week, but I did tell them I was a year out of surgery when I called to make the consult!
