Endo Biopsy
Hi, I just figured it would be easier to read it here than to find the thread.
I called Dr. P's office today and asked the girls about Ibuprophen, they said, "No, Problem" I stated that Dr. P told me (us) that Motrin/Advil was a no-no after surgery because of the ulcers that could form. She put me on hold, then came back stating that Dr. P was in surgery, but none of the girls in the office ever heard that Ibuprophen was off-limits! What is the consensus here??
Anyway I took 800mg (that is what I would normally take pre-surg for PMS). I took it wilth milk.
I am SO glad I took that much...that procedure is a B*TCH! I will state that although it did not last long, it still hurt like hell! No one should EVER have their cervix clamped!!!! The pain decreased about 1/2 hour after the procedure, but of course I am still crampy. (Thanks, and I was almost done with it this month!)
Well, now it is the waiting game...the Dr stated that she would call me with the results no matter what, so I do not have to wait till the 20th. That is a good thing. She also wants me to have another Ultrasound to check on the cyst and also check the composition of it. Yea...another damned test!
I will let you all know the results when they are in. Thanks you all for the good thoughts and prayers! I really am looking to crawl back into my little hole and get out of the spotlight!
Anybody know how Karen (KF54) is doing? Lets hear some good news!!!

Hi Ruth, I have been thinking of you. Hope all went well today. I had to stay one extra day because i was sick on Wednesday and vomited that evening. I think the problem was the nurse never hooked my IV up during the day. I was probably dehydrated. Each day i am getting better. I walk everyday. I weighed myself when I got home on Saturday and didn 't loose a pound. I plan on getting on the scale Saturday. I hear it is very common not to loose anything from the hospital. My problem is I haven't moved my bowels at all. Next Thursday I see Dr. Pohl. I am looking forward to add different foods. I am having creamed soups, and yogurt. It helps. I will keep in touch. I sent an e-mail on your profile. I hope it went through. Take care and talk to you soon.
Love,
Karen

Karen,
It was so good to hear from you. You came home this past Saturday and still have not moved your bowels? Are you taking any stool softener? Some girls recommend some Mira-lax to just to. Dr Pohl is not a proponent of the stuff as one can become dependent on it if used too much.
I am feeling better tonight, that is good. I have lost a total of 16 lbs (using my scale) since the surgery. Sometime I think that it is going to slow, but I also know that I had my period (add 5 lbs!) and have been stressing over this whole ovarian cyst thing.
I joined the Y this past week, so I plan on getting into the pool and swimming this week. I used to be a lifeguard in my early 20's and I would like to get back into that kind of shape.
Are you planning on attending the Nov 19th meeting? I am going, since I missed the last one and have no idea when the next one is due to the holidays.
I can eat almost anything...well let me correct that, I can put anything in my mouth, but I cannot tolerate everything, so I am learning. Sometimes I get so frustrated in trying to figure out what I can eat that is protein enriched, low in calories and low in carbs, AND will not cause pain or bloating! So it is still a challenge for me.
Well, keep in touch! Glad to hear you are doing well....and if you still are constipated, call the Dr.

Hey Ruth,
How much is it to join the Y? I really want to find a place to go swimming.
Karen,
Welcome home I was reading what you wrote about staying an extra day. I got sick like that too and ended up 2 extra day . They found it was the pain pills where to hard on my stomach. When they changed my pain medication. ALso I agree with Ruth if you are having trouble with moving the Bowel CALL the Doctor ASAP. You do not want to get bounded up. That could put you back in the hospital. I know he had me take MOM to get me going. I have to take Fiber Choice dailly now to keep me regular. This is some chat here. lol.. Well good luck
Take care
