endoscope

I had my endoscope and dr.giovanni found ulcers on the bottom of my stomach. Has anyone had the same or simlular results? She put me on prevacid and in 6 weeks i have to go for another one.

Hi.  When I had my endoscope they also found ulcers.  I was also put on Prevacid.  It was no big deal.  When I went back 6 weeks later everything looked OK and my surgery was scheduled.  I am now 24 weeks post-op and am doing great.  It really is not such a big deal, except it does delay your surgery until you get the ulcers to clear up.  Good luck.  Amy

Thanks for your input. I too was put on Prevacid, but, my insurance won't pay for it, they will only pay for some generic brand. I didn't think it was a big deal just wondering how comon it was for ulcers to be found.

They found multiply ulcers when I had mine done. I've been on prevacid for a few weeks and I go back for another scope on December 4th.

I have buldging disks in my back so I was taking alot of advil for the pain which is what caused them. I stopped taking it that day.

I have been on vicoden and vicoprophen for years as well as smoking, but that has all come to an end.

the week after my meeting with Dr. G I was off the Vicoden and Vicoprophen and I just stopped smoking as of the week before last.

I am doing everything she has wanted me to do and I don't even mind because I know it is for a good reason.
