So i was accepted for a conference at school... YAY! It was my third year applying and i finally got it! Anyway, they have a banquet at the end so i needed to get a dress for it. Before, back when i was 60 pounds heavier, dress shopping was not fun because all the cute dresses only go to a size 16. Well, this time it was a blast!! I tried on dresses that probably wouldnt have made it past my boobs before! I ended up buying two size 16 dresses! I just couldnt decide. I can't even remember when i could fit into a size 16! I think it was back in like middle school. I am so happy!!

Anyway, I can't wait to see your beautiful faces a week from today at the RW support group. Jules, i will miss you! You better oak up some rays in the great sunshine state for me! Kepp up the great work everyone!

Love Always,

Meredith

Meredith,
I am now a size 16, too, and LOVE it!! All of the clothes in "women's" sizes are too gaudy. They are also too long in the body and low in the bust area. I am only 5' tall...honestly...why wouldnt they have thought of short people being fat, too?? Finally, I can shop in regular clothes. !! Congrats to you and me!!

Marie,
I hate to say this...while it does get easier...it's still a struggle. I'm short also, I'm now in a size 10. Misses jeans are too high on the waist and too long in the legs (yes even short length).  Misses shirts are just too long, yes it's the style now but when you are short to begin with...the long shirts make you look shorter and less thinner (and who wants that!). The petite department is no walk in the park either. Alot of the clothes are either too fancy and not for every day wear or too old looking. There just doesn't seem to be a happy medium.
Shopping is much better now but it takes alot of trying on and hemming for clothes to fit right. I still wouldn't trade it though!

That is awesome!!!  Remember you need cloths to live, but you won't be in that size for long.  It is a balancing act..trust me!
