Hi Chris,

I'm afraid I cant tell you what my first week was, as I didnt even own a scale for the first month after surgery.
As Lisa said though, everyone is different so try not to compare yourself to everyone else. Some people lose faster than others and so many factors play into your loss. The heavier you are, the faster you will lose among other factors.
Just remember, every pound you lose, is a pound less than  you had the day before.

I don't recall - once I started on real foods I did gain just a bit. Once I leveled off (being banded) I lost 1-2 lbs per week...

Hi Chris,

If you're watching the biggest loser on Tuesday nights, you know that week 2 is one of the worst weeks.  You body goes into starvation mode and doesnt want to give up the pounds.  You will be losing a little and all of a sudden 3 lbs come off in a day..then nothing...its goes like that because the body wants to hold on to the weight.   We all have gone thru that.  It's nature trying to take care of us.  But it does come off.

Hi Chris
My first week I am not too sure of. I had my surgery on July 11th ...almost three months ago...I have lost 40.5 pounds. I felt I was losing too slow compared to others on this board and I find it hard not to use everyone else's success as a guide for my own. I haven't been on in a while and I feel pretty good about my own personal success. I work out 4-5 times per week at Planet Fitness at 4:30 am and have seen a definite size difference in my clothes. I actually wore a size 16 yesterday...it's been years!!!!!! Good luck and stay true to the course of your own successes!
