Which food is your favorite....

...and how do you make a healthier version of it?? What food(s) do you love that now you make a "healthier/wls friendly" version of?

I will kick it off...I LOVE pizza...I could eat it everyday(thin crust, deep dish, white, red etc.) I know that I will not be able to eat it as often or in the same quantity once I have surgery.  But after looking at eggface's blog on her tortilla pizzas...I cant wait to try them...so I know I can have a healthier version of pizza and be satified with eating the pizza from her site.

I  think this may help some of the newbs like myself get ideas from some of the veterans out there and also may give ideas to the rest of us on how to make healthier versions of our favorite foods...

I always try to heat the "Healthier" version of what everyone else is eating.  But I have had pizza.  It is funny because I can usually only eat 1 slice w/ out the end crust.  Back in the day, I could polish off a half of a pizza!

I really like the noodle-less Laz. recipes...  I love all the cheese and I add portabella mushrooms for substance.   I have also thrown in some turkey peperoni,.....YUMMY!!!!!

Hey Flirty, I cant wait to see how much more you flirt when you get super skinny!  Are we all invited to the wedding, I am sure there will be one!!!!

Hey you...

Lately I have getting more and more comfortable with my self (some would say too comfortable).  I have a facebook account and I took a really good picture of my butt (with jeans on)...  That was my profile pic!!!  I laughed for days at the comments people made.  And for the first time, they were all good!!!

Have a great weekend!!!

I haven't had surgery yet but I am with you on the pizza front... eggfaces recipes seem great - also there is another poster on OH that has two different crust recipes - one is made with broccoli and the other with cauliflower... here is the link . They sound good too...  I love broccoli pizza so it sounds like something I will try before my surgery!

I have become a chili fan and found a great one!!  White Chicken Chili with Beans.  Soooo good and only 5gms fat- 21 gms of protein and FILLING!!!!   So yummy I feel like I am cheating.  It is Pricechopper (store) brand.  I have found turkey chilis before- but this is the first chicken one I found and full of huge chunks of chicken and white beans.

Great post Rob,  i must say that pizza eggface posts is pretty good a little strange eating pizza on a shell lol but good.  My favorite like beth is chili.  I guess i am going to either have some competition after your surgery or you and i are going to be hitting the town turning it upside down with all the flirting we do with others lol.  Another favorite of mine was chicken pam with pasta and bread but i do not like pasta anymore so i substitute it with veggies and baked potatoe still great.
