I don't recall how long it went with my appt with Dr. Pohl.  Probably not to long.  You will discuss what surgery you are thinking about, why you have chosen it, what other "diets" you have tired and also will go over tests that you might have left to have done.  It is a no-stree meeting - ask questions!!!

I see Dr. Pohl. I would say we met for about 1/2 hour or so. I went to my first visit with all my pre-required tests done, a printed copy of my diet history and a copy of all my questions. We discussed surgical options, why I wanted the surgery, health history and medications I was taking and my concerns about anesthesia allergies. He was calm and well educated and answered all my questions and addressed all concerns I had.

I'm assuming that Dr. G will do the same for you.

Have a great Monday!

Dr Pohl is my doc too, and I'd agree with the others, about 1/2 hr.  Just a meet and greet to determine what you had in mind and what the rest of the requirements are.
