I'm still here!

I'm still here, just feeling a little worse for the wear today.  I took the pain pills yesterday and slept most of the day, which was great cos I didn't sleep much at all in the hospital.  I am feeling a little bit like I have gone thru the wringer.   I walked a lot in the the hospital, and I am walking here at home, which helps.  Looking forward to seeing what today brings.  Huggs to you all!

Hi Cara,

Sorry I missed you before your surgery, but I glad to hear everything went well and you are home and banded!!!

I found that day 2, 3 and 4 were a little rough but by day 5 I felt somewhat back to normal.  The anesthesia really wipes you out more than you realize but every day you will feel so much better.  I found that the walking really helped a lot.  By next week you'll feel like a new woman.

Congratulations!!!!!

Jen

Thanks Jen,  I was wondering how the next few days would be so thanks for the advice on that.  Looking forward to being that new woman!  ;o)

Yep, no surprise really.  I've been walking up and down my street all day today.  It's been so nice outside.  Trying to get my wildberry shakes in, but I'm so full!  Hallelujah!  Anyway, just got up from a nice nap, and I am enjoying getting the princess treatment here at home. :o)  I anticipate tomorrow will be another rough one, but at least I am sleeping very comfortably in my own bed...just need a little help to get out of it. hehehehe!

Hi Cara,

I know the feeling!  But today is post-op day 6 for me, and I feel absolutely WONDERFUL!  I've been upping my daily walk, and today actually walked a mile!!  PLUS... hubby and I went to the Wrentham Outlet mall for a couple things (only a half hour there).  It was such a gorgeous day, we couldn't just stay in the house.  Yesterday was hubby's b'day and so we took a drive up to Gloucester, MA, did some walking on the boardwalk and just some general drive-by sight seeing.  I'm feeling great.  Getting about 60g of protein in a day, and just feel so thankful to have had this surgery.  Each tomorrow will be a better day........

Have a good evening,
Vicky

Hey Vicky,

I'm so glad to hear that you are feeling so well!  I can't wait to see you on Thurs.  I spent a lot of time outside walking today myself and after my nap around 4pm, I woke up feeling much better.  My son and I even took a walk before he and my husband had dinner.  It was hard to come inside.  I only hope tomorrow is as nice, so I can walk my neighborhood some more.  I definitely see the benefits in getting out and breathing nice deep breaths of fresh air.  I've gotten in about 35 grms of protein today.  I'm trying but I am just too full.  Maybe I can do better tomorrow.  I did manage to get all but the last of my antibiotic in.  I'll take that before bed tho.  Between all the vitamins and my BP meds and the prescriptions sent home with me, I know I am rattling.  I feel full all day long.  I have no regrets tho.  I am thrilled, same as you to have had the surgery.  Just plodding along until I hit my stride.

Feel better tomorrow as well!

Cara

Hey again Cara!

Those shakes are heavier than we first thought, huh? You can try Isopure pre-made in the bottles if you have any problems getting your protein in. They're thinner and have more protein per ounce.

If you want, I'll bring some to you on Thursday.

No worries! You're doing GREAT!!!!

Love ya!
