5K Today

So I was supposed to run in the 5K today but this rain is to much and it isn't a road race - it is really a trail race through the woods. I am really sad about it - but there is always next year....right?

Oh Danielle!!!!!!!!! I'm soooo sorry you are going to have to pass on the 5K this yr. I know you were looking so forward to it and you trained so hard for it. I know there is next year, but you wanted to do it this yr. awwww......The upside, if you even feel like finding one today, is that you are in better shape this year than last, and next year when you race, you might do more than just finish, you might come in top 3!! Thinking about you today.

I was just chatting with Rob and said the same thing about next year. I might run in the CVS charity race next weekend - but it isn't the same. This race has a special meaning for me....but I know that Shawn would be proud of me and would tell me to run next weekend...so i am seriouslly considering it. Me and 3500 of my closest strangers...LOL

Danielle - I'm so sorry the rain ruined your plans for the 5K

Our YMCA (Newport County YMCA) has a mini marathon at Thanksgiving time - I think it's 3K - maybe 5 - can you tell I don't run? lol Anyway, maybe you can continue to train for that?

LOL, kidding of course. Sorry about the 5k Danielle. I wanted to train for one, but I have nto started yet. I need to kick myself in the butt to get moving again. I hope you find another one to do.

Aw Danielle! That stinks!

You know, when things don't go the way I planned/hoped, I have to remember there is a reason for everything! Hmmm, like, maybe you would have sprained your ankle or fallen down and skinned your knees and elbows so 'someone' from above helped to prevent that? I know, weird, but it works for me (at least most of the time).

And you're always so positive and seem to try to look on the bright side of things. I really enjoy that about you! So, go for the CVS run and have a great time!

Will anyone be taking pictures? I would soooo love to see you with a number hangin' off you runnin' with a smile on your face!
