Yesterday was a really good day

I not only got to meet such a wonderful person from here (finally!!!)- but I also got a fill- and right now I think I am feeling some restriction  (WOOHOO!!)

I got to meet Jenny yesterday at Dr Roye's office where we both sat, chatted and got some frustrations out.  I know it made me feel a whole lot better, at least knowing I am not the only one who feels like I do.  She is such a sweetie!!! (and she needs a pic on here also to show just how beautiful she is!!!)

I also got my 3rd fill and am now up to 3 cc's of fluid in my 10 cc band.  I have been on liquids for the past day- but have a new and strange sensation, which I am thinking is my "full feeling".  I am sooo damn excited about this!!!!   Hopefully it continues to be like this and I don't lose this restriction- but we see how it goes!

Beth - great news!!!  You've found your "sweet spot"!

I think it's great you were able to meet Jenny - it's so great that we all live so close (in this small state) that we can be in contact with each other.

Congrats again on the fill and the feeling full!

Pam

This is the first time I am feeling ANY type of restriction- except for the first few days out of surgery.  I was really starting to wonder if I just wasn't meant to have a band.  I am hoping this is the beginning of a great new me!!

I'm hoping to update it soon- first I have to get rid of the extra 2 pounds from being off my feet first.  Luckily I stopped it from being more than just 2 by doing a partial liquid diet.  I see Dr Roye again the end of October, and I am hoping to be down at least 10 pounds in that time!

Awww, you can do it girl!  I have faith in you.  Good for you for getting yourself right back on track.

Alexia,

I know how you feel.  Restriction for me was hard to come by, but believe me, once you have it you will love it.  It makes you feel that everything you went through was worth it and can understand more about what others go through.

Good luck

Aw Beth you're making me blush . . . thank you so much for your kind words and it was soooo nice to meet you too!  I'll have to work on the picture.  I'm the only person I know that does not have a digital camera.

I am so happy to hear that you are finally feeling some restriction.  You made it this far so things will only get easier.  I know you feel the same way I do when I say that this has been damn hard!

He put another 1.5 ccs in my band so I'm hoping things get a little better.  I don't know how much longer I can keep this up.    The strangest thing happened to me though.  After my first fill in July I got very sick.  Nothing to do with my band but headache, nauseaous, light headed, dizzy, and just a yuck feeling.  I thought it was just nerves or maybe I was getting a virus.  Well the same thing happened on Tuesday.  Same symptoms.  I was going to do some errands on the way home but ended up straight home on the couch for the night.  I woke up Wednesday morning feeling just fine.  Strange????  I don't know what it can be.  I am very sensitive to any foreign subsstances caffeine, alcohol, medicine ect.  I can't even take a sudafed without a potentail problem.  I probably should have called that night, but it came and went so I didn't think much of it.  I'll have to let him know next time.

Again, it was so great to meet you.  Just sitting and chatting made me feel so much better.  We will have to do it again some time and I have got to get to the next get together or group meeting.

Jen
