 Hi,
I just found you guys when playing around on the web.   I belonged to another forum but was looking for one closer to home.    I band surgery on 6/17/08 by Dr. Roye.  I absolutely love him. I have had one fill in July and I go back tomorrow for another I believe.  I've lost 30 lbs.  I am wondering what you all do for excersice?   are you religous about it or none at all?    Look forward to talking to you all.

Hi Kim- I have Dr Roye as well- AND- I am seeing him tomorrow too- at 2:40.  Wonder if we will bump into each other?  Hopefully I will get a fill tomorrow as well.  Love Dr Roye!!

For exercise I have been using a WII Fit and an inclining treadmill, as well as just trying to do little things like park farther away, etc.  Welcome to the group!!

Hi Kim!

Welcome!

I had RNY in June. I go to my gym for aqua aerobics and I do the recumbent bike there. Also, I walk around the block of my house with hubby for added exercise and peace & quiet.

I do miss some days when things are hectic. But when they're hectic, I am so busy bustling around, I don't feel guilty. If I start feeling sluggish, I know it's a good day to get to the gym no matter how busy I am. Even if it's only a 1/2 hour. Then I feel good about myself for pushing myself and going.

Most important is to do something I like doing and/or have fun doing. Otherwise, I don't follow through with it regularly and make excuses not to go.

Hi Kim and WELCOME!  I am two weeks away from getting my band, but I always exercise and will continue once I am banded.  I belong to the gym and I do the eliptical and treadmill, as well as weight training.  The weight training really began to pay off once I hooked up with my trainer.  I just feel better when I exercise and I sleep better too.  In my opinion, and I am not an expert, exercise and an active lifestyle are key to living the life of a thin person.

Thank you for the nice replies.    My appt with Dr Roye was for 1:15 I was out by 1:30.  I received a another fill so I'm at a total of 6.5.    I really need to start to excerise,  as I told Dr. Roye I'm so afraid of failing, I feel paralyzed.   I've lost 30 lbs but I know I can do better.    I guess this week I'll go check out the gym with my friend so I can start to work out and get to the "new me".
