Thanks Danielle. I appreciate your kind words. I'm not letting it bother me but deep down inside, it still stings.

I am so sorry that you had to deal with that Laura. Our society is a really messed up place sometimes and usually these people are doing this to overcome some shortcoming of their own. THere are no excuses for for but you must believe that in some way he will end up paying for that remark when someone else does the same to him.
You are one of the most beautiful people I know, inside and out. I know its hard to not let his comment get to you so I wont even say it, but just remember that you are very loved by all of us here and you are beautiful. I've wished many times I was as attractive as you are. But anytime you need it you come here and vent away and you know you can always call me if you want someone to talk to day or night!

Laura,  I am so sorry to hear about this terrible experience.  Some people are just so ignorant.  Just remember how far you have come.  I could not even believe it was the same person in your before pictures.  You have done amazing.  People act this way because of their own hangups.  It is no excuse for people being so ugly, but we can only change ourselves.  These people have to live with knowing how ugly they really are.  Keep up the good work and don't even think about this stupid remark that guy said.  You are such an inspiration.  I hope I can be as successful as you have been.
Hugs,
Amy

Laura,

Its whats on the inside that counts and you are a beautiful woman!

Just laugh it off and remember all you've accomplished and the friends that care about you.

I'm so sorry to hear about your experience with that a*hole!  Unfortunatley they are out there, and fat people are the last acceptable discrimination.
I've been there, like I'm sure most of us have.  The only thing I can say is think of this, you done great, feel good, and you were walking on a beach with someone who loves you.  I doubt a jerk like that can say the same for his life.

Dave - you are so right about the last acceptable discrimination - being overweight/obese. It's so sad that there isnt something that can be done about it - we just have to take it and move on. Thats what I've been doing my whole life and I *thought* it was over now that I've lost so much weight - but I guess like several people have said, people like that guy will find SOMETHING to say about anyone.
