New Scale...

Hey Peeps,

I bought a new scale because my antique scale was not very accurate. I'd weigh myself three times in a row and get three totally different weights!

So...onto Bed, Bath & Beyond to buy a Weigh****cher's scale.

And it reads 3 frickin' pounds heavier!!!! That's 3 more frickin' pounds before I reach my next goal of onederland. I was 206 lbs now I'm 209 lbs!!!

I'm so frustrated and bummed out!

Now, I'm wondering....was I actually 3 pounds heavier all along? Do I add 3 pounds to my before weight and adjust? What, what, what.....Aaaargh!

Up until I got this stinker, I have lost 59 pounds and I really don't want to go to 56 pounds lost. So close to 60, you know?

Thanks for listening/reading my vent.

What would you do?

Jules

Jules, if your going to go buy a new scale anyway..just wait until you see what that says..and i know how important 3 lbs are..but you are doing so great, dont stress over it..my scale does the same thing everyday i just take the average.  but im going to do the same thing when i  get back to work after surgery i am going to invest in a good scale..  Kim

Grrrr.... I know the feeling, Jules.  I hate the scales anyway, but it seems no two scales ever weigh me the same.  I can weight JUST before going to the dr, and his scale will say something else!  Go figure!!

Hey Julie,
Avon has a great scale that they sell.   for 49.99 it take your body fat , bone mass, hydration level  and weight loss.   it is called the 4-in1 sacale for compleate body analysis.  I know I just order me one.  The way I am going I will never make any money with avon if I keep buying for myself.   So if anyone  would like one or to see it let me know and I can get the book or  my website to you.

Lisa

p.s.  Don't stress over it your doing great.

Jules sweetie, 1-2lbs of that could be chalked up to the time of day. Do you normally weigh in the morning and tried this one out at night? Also the clothing you have on can be a few pounds heavier. Even if thats not the case, then that 3 lbs will be gone in no time.

AWWWW Jules..... I know excatly what you are feeling......Angela is right it can have to do with what time and if you have eaten... All re different so I would just wait another week see what it says (IT WILL BE LOWER) and then go by that!!!!!!

The only scale I officially go by is the doctors. I use my scale as a guide to know if it's moving and ofcourse moving in the right direction. The morning you go to the doctors, weigh on your scale then compare the difference on your doctors scale. My mom's scale is accurate with my doctors  so I do use hers but I don't get too her house as often as I'd like either.

It's definitely the scale,        I would just subtract the 3 pounds each time you weigh and go by that weight.  Take that you stupid scale!
