Hey all,

Sorry I have not been on much.  My husband left 2 weeks ago for San Diego and the kids and I are here until the house sells.  I have had a lot on my mind and more on my plate than usual.  I noticed that I have been eating really crappy since he left so I went to the store and got everyhting I need to be back on track.  I am back to high protein and low carb and drinking LOTS of fluid.  The scale still is not moving.  I am getting really annoyed.  I feel like I should be losing a bit faster than I am.  I know I will get there, but it will take time.

I am so thrilled with my progress and dont get me wrong, I am so proud of all of you!  In a strange way I still get jealous when people are losing faster than me.  Is that wierd?  I know everyone is different and we all lose at different speeds.  I feel like I should be closer to goal than I am.  I have like 25lbs to go.

Since my first visit with Dr Roye I have lost 98 lbs!!!!  I am really excited about it.  He is a bit concerned about the dizzy spells I am having and the spotty vision but my bloodwork was not all back yet.  I have to call him next week to go over it with him.  Hopefully it is nothing.  He seems to think I am not drinking enough, but I know that is NOT the case.  I think I am anemic.  I have always been borderline.  I am also NOT good at remembering my vitamins.  I know I know, I have to take them (no flames please) but I always forgert!

So, he was really pleased with me and actually did not even recognize at the beginning.  That is always a nice feeling.  I had my picture taken with the hot doctor and I will post it later!!!!

Take care all!!!!

I cant imagine how you're feeling with hubby in San Diego Jen, please make sure you call me if you need ANYTHING! Its nice to see that you're getting yourself back on track, you're a lot like me on that one. I havent been making the best choices lately and I just did the same thing yesterday.
I think we're also at that point where things really slow down. I went weeks where it was like pulling teeth to lose a single pound but it looks like I'm moving slowly again and I'd guess you're probably having the same thing happening. Hopefully the new choices will help things along again.
On another note, you look FABULOUS! When I saw you on the 4th, you looked soooo skinny I cant imagine you losing another 25 lbs!

Jen- you know I am here also if you need anything.

I am terrible with my vitamins too.  I just got sour gummy worm ones that the kids love- so they remind me THEY need thiers- so I take mine at the same time.  At least that gives me a reminder.

ps- I so want to see the pic!  Two hotties together!!!

Hi Jen!

I have been through so much when hubby has been gone because of the military. If you need any info regarding Family Readiness Group support and/or MRW or any other military famiy support, Please let me know.

I wish I could help you sell your house!!! Meanwhile, I'm a phone call away for ANY help you may need!

You're doing so well with your weight. Almost 100 pounds in less than a year! I can only keep my fingers crossed that I will be as successful as you are! Especially because you are so aware of the self-sabotaging we can do to ourselves. You're getting back on track! Hooray for you!!!

Give yourself a great big pat on the back!

You, my friend, are a phenominal woman!

Thanks Julie,

I feel really good about what I have done.  I just have that need to get it all done in record time.  I have to remember that I did not put it on overnight and it wont come off overnight either!

Thanks for the help w/ Tom being gone.  This really sucks!  He has not been gone for this long for like 6 years.  I almost wi**** was a deployment because I would know there was an end in sight.  As it is now, this could go on forever!  We have no idea.

Thanks a bunch!  You are doing great too.  You must feel so much better already!  Sorry I missed the party.  My weekends have been taken up almost all summer with family partys and birthdays.

Take care,
Jen

Sounds like you really do have your hands full right now.  I'll keep my fingers crossed that your house sells and your family can be together again.  I know that is tough for you and for your kids as well.  On the other hand, great job on the weight loss to date.  Just remember it is a journey, not a race, and your lifestyle has changed where food and exer**** is concerned.  Just continue to make good choices, and the rest will happen on its own.  You look fantastic!!  Your hubby won't recognize you when he sees you again!
