Last week someone posted about wanting some no sugar ketchup, I got a new cookbook the other day and in the back there is a recipe for some so I thought I'd share. I havent tried it, so if you do, let me know how it works out.

1- 6oz. can tomato Paste
2/3 cup cider vinegar
1/3 cup water
1/3 cup Splenda
2 tbsp finely minced onion
2 cloves garlic - crushed
1 tsp salt
1/8 tsp ground allspice
1/8 tsp ground cloves
1/8 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp guar or xantham
(note: the book says that the guar or xantham isnt necessary but makes the ketchup thicker and keeps it from seperating when its not going to be used immediately.)

Mix everything in the blender scraping down sides. The mixture will be thic****il the onions disappear.
Store in a tightly lidded container in the fridge.

Makes 1 1/2 cup of ketchup.

This book has over 500 low carb, no sugar or low sugar recipes in it. There are also several for things like BBQ sauce, teriyaki and other sauces, rubs, etc..so if you need something specific let me know and I'll see if I can find it for you.

I use the Heinz Reduced Carb Ketchup at 5 cals per serving.

This sounds great!

Thanks for taking the time to post this!
