Consult appt with Dr. Roye and Psych Question...

OK I have a consult with Dr. Roye on Wednesday the 20th (my 2 yr wedding anniversary!)Awesome considering I just had the seminar on the 11th!!!

I also set up a consult for my sleep study because that is generally the longest tto book and I want to get that doen ASAP ... the next thing I need to do is book the psych appointment.  I am wondering, for anyone who had Dr. Roye which Dr. you chose and what it was like, whether or not you liked him/her etc.

I heard a lot of bad things about the others Dr, so I went with Dr Freidman.  He does not accept any insurance, so I had to pay out of pocket and hope for reimbursement from my insurance.  He was great to deal with and honestly- the psych eval was the one test I was most scared about.  I swore they would deny me after it.  I also got an appointment with his within a wek- and it was an evening apt.

I also saw Dr Freidman and he was great!  Also his assistant was really wonderful too.

Dr. Freidman is the only one my ins doesn't cover so I was hoping to go with one of the other 3 figures!!

I TOTALLY agree with what everyone else said.  I am one of those people who posted a horror story.  I saw someone who took my insurance and it was BAD!   He approved me but he was a real peice of work (You can read all about it in my profile blog).  So I bit the bullet and paid out of pocket to see Dr. Freidman.  My insrance reimbursed me a VERY small portion of that back, but it was definitely worth it.

I too saw Dr. Freidman and paid out of pocket. I was given a list of 3 and my insurance covered none. I have no complaints...Dr. Friedman was excellent and quick! There's been quite a few horror stories on here so ask around and choose wisely!

I had Dr. Freidman.  My insurance did not cover any of the Doc's.  He was amazing and so easy to talk to.  I say pay the money and have piece of mind.  You will not be sorry!

    Congrats on your decision for surgery.  Dr Roye performed my surgery 6/17/08 and I absolutley love him.     I chose Dr. Zimmerman for my consult but many in that office are listed, I think it really comes down to who is excepting new patients. he is very nice, a little stiff but really good.   The first appt with him was 3 hours.    When you read this your appt with Royes np Katherine would have already taken place, I am not too thrilled with her or the one who answers the phone but Dr. Roye is so worth the aggrivation from those 2...lol.    If you have anymore questions please feel free to contact me.
