Protein drink continued.....
Ok, I tried the chocolate one just now (home from the gym). This is Jay Robb Egg White Protein. It claims to be "Outrageously delicious!", but I think that could be a stretch. The first taste was a little weird, not gritty at all, but an under-flavor that I can't explain. But with each subsequent sip, it became increasingly more drinkable. A little sweet, but not so bad that I can't drink it, when doing it in small sips. I mixed it with milk and two ice cubes. Alone, it has 120 cals, 4g of carbs but 0 sugar, 2 sugar alcohol, 24g protein and 30 mg of calcium. Then add the milk stats, so not a bad protein punch. I have to say I like the NSA Carnation taste better, but this is a bigger boost of protein.

I also was having trouble getting my protein in and when I went to the nutritionist she told me i could stay on the NSA Carnation Instant breakfast (CIB) and add a scoop of protein powder to it. She told me to check out GNC. It's called wheybolic extreme 60. 1 scoop has 20 grams of protein in it. So what I have been doing is adding 1 scoop for every 2 shakes. So the 2 CIB shakes alone with milk have 13g protein. Then I add the 20g from the mix and its about 23g protein per shake. and it is VERY tasty and keeps me full for about 4 hours. I have my shakes for breakfast and lunch. Then I only have to worry about getting an additional 15g protein from dinner or a snack. I have also added it(1/2 scoop) to cream of wheat to try it. You can add it to yogurt too. But I have lost 10lbs since July 21st doing that. Hope this helps!
Thanks for the info! My Nutritionist also told me about using the NSA CIB, but I wasn't sure which protein powder to try...there are SO many to choose from. Anyway, that Wheybolic Extreme 60 will be the next one I try. I am assuming you are using the unflavored?? Thanks again!
