hospital stay?

I was wondering if someone could help me with this question i called dr pohls/dr gios office and recieved kinda a vague response which i do understand there is no "answer" its diffrent for everyone,,,,here goes , for those of you that have had lap band surgery how long was your stay at roger williams and did anybody stay over? when i spoke with dr gio she never really mentioned staying then when i called the office they said it is a definite possibility and also has anybody i hate to ask, had surgery during TOM i am not looking forward to this at all   thanks so much Kim

Hi Kim...I had Dr. Giovanni and I did spend one night at the hospital.  She made it sound like any of her paitents that have the band spend one night.  I hope this info. helps.

I was discharged around 10:30 the next morning.  So far I am doing well.  I just got back from my follow up appt with Dr. G. and she said everything looks good.  Thanks for asking. 

Not sure about your surgeon and hospital stay- but I can answer the other TOM question.

Very common for it to come right during or immediately after surgery.  I wasn't due for 2 weeks- but the morning I went in- discovered my "friend" came visiting.  They said that for some reason- it happens- A LOT.  No big deal to them whatsoever at the hospital.  Just let someone know.

I didn't have the lap band but, my husband is going to have it done and Pohl said one night he would have to stay in as for the other question I had it the day I went in for surgery.  Good luck Kim

So - yes I did have surgery during TOM..it was fine.  I did not stay overnight at the hospital.  But it is different for everyone.
