hoping to get a "real picture" today

I'm scheduled for 10:40 so I will miss you.  I hate to invest in a good scale becuase I weigh myself at work on the Dr. scale that I know nobody messes with.  I'm off for the summer, but when I go back I will just use that scale.  Truthfully - I also have issues with the scale - we are not friends.  I will weigh myself all the time and be so disappointed when it doesn't move,  So far this is working well for me. 


Are you getting a fill on Monday?  This will hopefully be my first, but I know that he wants to do it under x-ray becuase of the Realize band.  I wish they had booked the x-ray last month when I went in becuase now I will probably have to waite a couple more weeks?  I just don't get it.  I wanted to get going on fills before I go back to work in August.  I have no restriction now and feel like I am "dieting" all the time.  I know that everything will work out ok, but it is still a bumpy road.

I think it was about 2- 3 weeks from when they scheduled my fill under fluoro until they did it.  Also I wasn't allowed to eat or drink anything after midnight the night before, and my apt was at 2pm- yuck!!  I thought it would be much worse to be without anything for so long, but just focused on this big picture and I would be geting my fill.

I figured that I would be waiting a while.  If they knew that he would be doing the fill under fluoro then why don't they schedule it ahead of time?  I made this appointment one month ago and she said that he would probably do it under fluoro.  She said he might do it the same day or a couple of days later, but I knew that it would not be that easy.  Oh well.  Nothing I can do about it.  I'm just anxious to get started.   I feel like I'm dieting all the time and we know how well that works out!

I know what you mean about the fills- drives me nuts.  Today I got another 1/2 cc in my band, which means I have 3 cc's in my 10 cc band.  I am hoping for some restriction.  Liquids and mushies again for me for the next 4 days.

You are doing terrific Jenny!  Look at how much you have lost!!  It does suck right now that we went through all we did just to feel like we are still on a constant diet.  Hopefully we get restriction soon

He actually did the fill today.  I was shocked!  He was asking me questions and then he said well I guess you need a fill - I'll be right back with the stuff - I was completely taken by surprise.  I was so convinced that it wasn't happening that I didn't even mentally prepare myself for it.  It was nothing.  I didn't feel a thing.  I did notice for about an hour afterward that I had a really bad taste in my mouth and I have been tired all afternoon (probably not related).  Liquids and mushies for me too!  When I left there I was thinking I cannot possibly do liquids for two days - after the first few weeks of not eating but it will be fine.  More of a mental battle.

12 lbs. of my weight loss was pre-surgery so I am down 25 lbs total.  I am hoping for restriction becuase I'm not sure I can keep this "diet" up too much longer.  I am very motivated right now, but I have also been very motivated in the past and got nowhere.

How long will he make you wait for another fill?

I am rescheduled for 6 weeks.  from what I hear- fills can be weird that you feel nothing for a few weeks, then all of a sudden restriction, or the opposite can happen.  I think all Dr's wait at least 4 weeks due to this. 

Today's fill I also felt nothing (except that odd feeling of the fluid going in).  I just freaked myself out when I looked at the needle first (I am such a wimp with them!)
