Hello Everyone!!
Hi there!
I am finally home! All went well so far and I'm still praying for no surprises like you had Jules! I arrived at RIH at 7:20 and did not get operated on until 4pm!! I was out at 8 and Dr. Ryder said I was the highlight of her day considering her first surgery was rough and what had delayed mine. Thank you all, especially Jules for setting up my surgery support page, for you kind words! It made me cry when I just opened up my emails.
I have been so lucky throughout this journey to have you all walking right alongside. Thank you so much.
I am going to have lots of questions about the diet but am going to go enjoy my bedroom! My husband took my daughter out and bought a new comforter set, curtains and all! He cleaned and rearranged it to surprise me when I got home today. I LOVE MY FAMILY!!!!
I'm sure I'll be on tomorrow~ Thanks again guys!
Love Marie

Good day everyone!
I started off with scrambling and then pureeing one egg with milk. My son pureed me a peach. I had some of the egg and almost a tbl of the peach. VERY FULL. Very nervous since it was my first food post-op. Outside of chicken broth and apple juice. They never put me on anything but the clear liquids at RIH. I found a sample diet in some of the paper work that I think will be helpful. We shall see! I just sent mom to Stop and Shop for some "supplies," one of them being a battery for my arch enemy the scale!! I'll update when I know!
Thanks again for being so welcoming!!
Love Marie
PS Keep praying?!
I am glad everything went well for you in your surgery. Mine was exactly 6 weeks from today. Its hard at first trying to figure out what you can and can't have for food. Just take it slowly and don't try any new food on a day where you will be going out somewhere. Gas, bloating and some other not so pleasant things happen when you least expect it.
I wish you luck on your journey. Sounds like you have a nice support team here to answer any questions you have along the way.
Best wishes.
Marianne :)
