ok- here goes...
ok- I have been lurking a lot and not posting, and feel bad about it. So many people I didn't send well wishes to, etc. Now so much catch up to do in ine post.
Congrats and welcome to all the new losers!! Speedy healing to you!!
Danielle and Angela- those new pics are amazing!! Esp seeing them next to the starting pics. You are both so inspirational to me!
It was really nice seeing people on Tues at the meeting. I am again back to feeling inspired, esp after the lapband portion of it. Lots of good tips, and even getting to try a new recipe. (though too salty for my taste! )
Jules- I am sorry I haven't responded as to a good day for the pool party. Lately- who knows. It seems things are stuck on fast forward around here. Pick a date good for you, and I will try my best to be there. I really miss getting together.
I want to thank those that checked in on me also, just making sure things were good- it meant a lot.
Hi Beth!
Great hearing from you! And it was great seeing you Tuesday night! We're always here for you and each other!
Hopefully, I'll see you again soon!
Laura and I are planning a day at the beach trip sometime soon. Bathing suits not required! Let's just walk along the beach and watch the sunset or something like that.
Take care of yourself, k?
Jules

Hi Beth! It was great meeting you Tuesday! I also found the lapband portion of the meeting helpful. I'm still interested in those protein soy nuts. I found them at stop and shop. Which are better frozen or unfrozen. Also, can you remind me how you eat them with the sea salt? Is this a snack? How much is considered a serving? Looking forward to seeing you soon!
Jules
Best way to first try them is either from a sushi place (they are served as an appetizer) or Shaws in Cranston has a person there who makes fresh sushi- and is good too, not like normal grocery store prepacked stuff. The soybeans are called edamame. At that Shaws, in the same cooler with the suchi, will be some edamame. It will still be in the pods. I like it steamed in the microwave for about 30 seconds and then just salt the outside. Sea salt isn't necc- but tasty. Just pop the beans out and eat them like peanuts. You can use them as a snack or whatever. I will sometimes serve them as a kind of veggie and get the boys to actually eat. Much more fun to eat food with you fingers- lol.
Try them that way first, and then you can experiment with the pre-shelled frozen ones. Throw them into stir fry, all sorts of ways to add protein to your diet.
