Starting weight question for Weight Tracker?

I am not sure what to use as my starting weight.  In Sept 2007, I weighed my heaviest ever at 265.  This was my breaking point in starting the process of the WLS.  When I started the protein shakes 2 wks before my RNY, I was at 247.  If I consider my heaviest weight, my weight loss is greater, but is it a true picture? Or am I just fooling myself.  Right now my weight tracker has the lesser of the two.  Any suggestions?????  What weight did alot of you start out at on your weight tracker???

Hi Marianne, I started mine at my highest. Mostly because I'd, unfortunately, gotten back there just before my 2 wk pre-op "diet". I know there are some that use their highest as a starting point and then put a little blurb next to the ticker that "...lost ?? lbs before surgery". IMHO you deserve to count ever pound lost as a victory! So celebrate it all!!! lol. Best wishes on your journey

I went to the Ticker website and finally figured out how to make one.  I ended up using my highest weight.  Thanks for the input.   Looking forward to hearing from more people!

Cute Avitar!!! I used my highest weight.  You still had to work to get those pounds off, so count them.  Congrats@!!!!! Jen

Hi Marianne!

I used my highest too. I was 265 in February, lost some, then put it right back on prior to my two-week pre-op diet. Again, it was 265.

I agree with everyone else! Put your highest! Celebrate every single ounce lost!!!

49 pounds is AWESOME!

You're incredible!
