Pre-Op Liquid Diet
Ok, I went to nut for my post op diet and received a pre-op one too. Maybe I am wrong but I thought Dr Roye did not require pre-op for Lap Band. I do not really mind the preview of coming attractions but he never made a mention of pre-op deit just nothing to eat/dring after mid-night. Any comments would be appriciated.
OOOOh 1 more thing How do I make my darn ticker come back??
Thanks for all your help!!
I think he is changing alot about the weight loss surgery process in his office. A friend of mine had to go to an orientation. I didn't have to and I met with the Dr. on my first visit which he doesn't do anymore. He may have change the process because of the Excellence in Surgery designation that the office recently received. As for the Realize Band, Dr.Curry of this site has all the information about it.

Hi Jamie - I did not have to do a pre op diet. It was never even mentioned. I would maybe double check with the office first or have the nutritionist double check for you. I did receive the Realize Band so it sounds like that's what he will be going with. He told me about the Realize three weeks before surgery but pre op diet was never even mentioned. Like Nancy said, things are changing. I did't have to go to an orientation, but I also did not meet with him until the very end to get the surgery date. I think most follow ups will be with Kathleen the NP also and I think in the future she will be doing fills also. Jen

I wonder of your nutritionist works with other surgeons, because I did have to do the pre-op diet for the lap band. I got it from the doc's office and from the nutritionist both. I was also told that I could have a Lean Cuisine for my one meal, so that was easier. I still use them a lot when I don't have time to make something.
