could use a heads up..

Hi everyone...I was wondering I have my appointment on june 9 to get my surgery appointment.MY dr is giovanni she is in dr pohls ofice.. My question is does anyone have any idea on how long the wait is usually from this appointmnet(im getting anxious) I had to wait an extra 2 weeks for the appointment because she was out of the office until this week also what kind of testing is left to do at this point  I just want to be prepared when i go.. Hi Kim, Did you get the packet at the seminar?  That has just about all the testing that you may need to have done listed on it.  Is this your first appointment with the Dr? 

Hi Danielle, its my 2nd appointment one of the girls called and said they had recieved all my reports and they were ready to see me about having  a surgery time set up i was wondering at this point what was in store for me and how long that would take im sorry i wasnt very clear.... Kim

No worries.  You might not walk out of there with a date....I did not.  But I know of others who did.  I got my date very soon after.

I wish I had answers for you, but she is not my Dr.  Instead I have well wishes and fingers crossed for a quick date!!

Hi Kim, I have Dr. Pohl. Is this your first appt there or second? If it's your second appt, you should have a date for surgery within a week after your appt. The surgery date itself depends on whether or not the doc is taking time out for vacations. I had my first appt with Dr. P on March 31st, my endoscopy within a week after. My second appt with Dr. P was at the end of April. I had my pre-op tests (EKG, Chest Xray, blood work and Anestheseologist(physician's assistanct)) exactly two weeks prior to my surgery date which is June 4th! I also started my pre-op diet the same day as the pre-op test date. I hope this all makes sense to you. I totally and completely understand the impatience that comes with this long step up to your journey. I hope you're doing well otherwise! Jules

Hi Kim,  I had Dr. Pohl.  At my second appointment, I was able to schedule my surgery date.  I choose to wait a little before my surgery because I was going on vacation and did not want to worry about my recovery in Disney.  I also had my pre-op appointment date scheduled at the same time.  Good luck.  Amy
