What CAN you or WILL you do after......

I am starting to feel overwhelmed. I am having my RNY on 6/5/08, and I am worried that I will not recover fast enough. The vitamins already make me nauseous, what if I can't find a protein drink that I like...no luck so far. I have been anticipating this for so long...I guess that I can't believe it is actually going to happen in 14 days. I remember the person that I once was, maybe I am just so used to being in this "fat suit" that I am getting nervous. It has been my security--now I know my daughterfeel when she goes to a sleepover without her "blankie".

There are so many things I will do! Wake up in the morining without my hips hurting. Sleep through the night without a machine keeping my airway open. Sleep without hand braces so my hands don't go numb. Stop worrying about my hands and how I will work without them. Have normal periods and no cysts from PCOS Be able to lift my own body weight (there are a couple of machines that I just can't do at the gym and it ****** me off!) Wear heels without pain! (well just once in a while) Ah and lets not forget the clothes!!!!!  I have size 10 jeans in my closed that at some point in the future I will wear!

The list is too long to even begin to post it Jules. The biggest for me is walking without being winded. I actually park at the back of the parking lot on purpose now!  I love being able to run and play with the kids, and all of the things everyone else has mentioned.  Dont worry sweetie...you're going to be there in no time! and I cant wait to share the journey with you. We love you Jules!

I can ride a bike, sit on a airplane without a seatbelt extender and sit on my in-laws plastic lawn furniture without fear that it will break under my weight.

Great topic Jules!

My list is also pretty long... but I have to say that right now what i'm most looking forward to is:
running and playing with the kids (trampoline anyone! LOL!)
going kayaking
riding on the back of my friends motorcycle
being able to walk up stairs and not have knee pain or being out of breath
being able to sit ANYWHERE- including on the ground/floor and not worrying about how the heck i'm going to get up
feeling good about myself my body
lessened pain in my back and legs

I could go on and on but those are the most important things for me right now.
