Ok , So I was banded on 4/25. So Im just two weeks out.  Just started eating mushies. BUT I have a confession.  I ate a little bit of frosting and a little pc of cake(1x1x1) yesterday.  i also had a little piece of a pork chop-well chewed( each bite i promise).  These foods did not hurt me, so I think. But i know i should not have had them. What Do I DO? And.. How do I know if I ate too much? what does it feel like? bc I dont feel like it ever 1/2 c. meals arent doing it for me(NUT said 1/2 c meals ).  Is it ok to eat until you are satified as long as you are doing it slowly-and of course eating the food appropriate for your stage???  i see the doc for first time post op on Wed.  I feel lost and confused.

You are at a very tough stage right now.  You don't have a fill- but have a newly recovering tummy.  The diet is there for a few reasons- to allow you time to heal and not put something into you that may irritate you.  It also prepares you for your road ahead once you get your fills.  You may not feel full on 1/2 cup- but we are not supposed to feel "full"- only satistfied.  This is hard to get used to, esp after all that we stuffed ourselves with before.  I am still really struggling with this, and working to figure out what is in my head and what is real.   If you are sure you are getting your water in, and your protien in (these are both VERY important to making you not only heal but feel satistfied longer) and are still wanting food, give your NUT a call.  Ask her if you could up the amount a bit- maybe to 2/3 of a cup.  Discuss with her what you are eating- I am sure she will want to know how much water, etc. I would also ask your doctor these things on Weds when you see her.  I will be seeing Dr Roye on Weds also for my fill (at 2pm)- what time is your apt?

Thank you so much for the support.   I have not been drinking all my protein drinks.  So, I will do 1/2 c. and drink protein and see where it takes me.  Thanks again

that's what this board is here for- to keep each other on track.  We all know what we should be doing, but accountability is sometimes key!! Let me know how you do!!

Alexia gave you good advice.  I don't really have much to add.  Good luck and follow your doctors instructions...
