Monday Appt-Should I Worry?

Hi!

I am FINALLY going to meet Dr. Roye on Monday I guess to go over my testing & HOPEFULLY GET A SURGERY DATE!!!!

The only thing is that they haven't called to confirm my appt. Should I worry?

I am trying not to be too anxious, but the only thing on my mind is my surgery. That's what I want for Mother's Day...I want to see my girls grow up, and be able to play with them.....

Hi Aim, I wouldn't worry about the non-confirmation. Not all Dr. offices call and confirm appts. Especially if they are busy. If it were me, I would call first thing Monday morning to confirm it for myself. Good Luck getting your date! Jules

Just try to think positively.  I was scheduled for last monday and my appointment was canceled.  They didn't call me until Friday afternoon and said that they had already called earlier in the week (definately didn't).  So I think if it was cancelled they would have called you on Friday.  I have an appointment on Friday to hopefully get a date and I trying not to get my hopes up.  I was so disappointed when the appointment cancelled.. I would definatey call to confirm and to confirm the location (Warwick vs. Providence).  This is so important and you don't want any misinformation getting in the way.  I was so afraid to call and confirm because I didn't want to be disappointed.  Unfortunately, it is not the easy office to communicate with.  I've only had to call there twice in the last 8 months and each time I feel like I'm being treated like an annoyance rather than a patient.   I'll keep my fingers crossed for you! Thanks Guys!!! I am on pins and needles....Jen, wouldn't it be great if we got the same surgery date since we are seeing him in the same week?

I haven't had any problems with the office staff...yet! I think that they must be doing a lot of work, with not enough staff. Everyone is downsizing these days.

I know that I am looking forward to do some "downsizing" myself - sometimes I crack myself up!!!--wink, wink

Aimee - hopefully we will both be going in very soon!  They do seem extremely busy. I'm starting to really get excited but I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much.  My origninal target date was at the end of May.  Maybe that will still happen! I'm ready to go!!!!!! Jen
