I was just wondering if anyone, post-op, have purchased/used the Profect protein drinks that are advertised on the left hand side of the page as part of their regiment??

I did not... I bought the ProtiV drinks sold at the office.  My fav was the WildBerry flavor.  You should go with a flavor that you don't have a pre-concieved notion about regarding taste.  Otherwise you might be disappointed.

Good luck!

to me- they taste like liquid jello.  They have a bit of the just starting to gel consistency -and super sweet.  Check out Vitamin Shoppe in Warwick next to Land Rover on Rt 2.  They have something very similar in the cooler there.  They have a lot of the RTD protien shakes in the cooler they will sell as singles so you can try them.  I am STILL having an issue finding a protein shake I can tolerate.  I actually found one at Target for $12.98 with 28g of protein.  I was at Walmart today and saw it there too.  It is a powder and comes in a few different flavors.  It is one of the only ones I can drink almost my whole shake.  (I am having a big issue lately with anything tasting sweet or being too heavy in consistency- but that is just me)

My mom had RNY about three years ago and she uses the whey protein powder from GNC.  I've had the strawberry and the chocolate and both are pretty tolerable, especially if you can blend them wtih fruit and yogurt.

I'm pre-op but I love the Profect! I mix it in my Crystal light! I also buy the GNC brand that has 42 gms protein 0 fat, 0 Sugar and 130 Cals. The Profect is $10.99 for four. It's cheaper at GNC and you get more 'bang' for your buck! Yummy! Jules
