Yuck!  I am always in such fear of my port or vomiting.  So far I have been very good (knock on wood) but probably because I am such a chicken of these happening. I am glad you had such a wonderful team of surgeons to see you through this- and to insist that something was wrong when the test showed inconclusive.   You have had good weight loss with the band, and this is just a set back- a REALLY sucky one! Take care of yourself!!

Hey T,

I sorry to hear about the band slipping and all you had to go through (I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers).  I am glad today that you are feeling better and that you continue to do so as the days go on.    You are right about Dr. Ryder being and excellent surgeon, caring and willing to listen to you (Dr. Roye too).   I to had to call because of some problems I have been having ( I may need a cat-scan to see what is going on).   I have step back in my eating stage to see if that would help.  I am trusting God that all will be well for the both of us.

Robin, Thank you so much.  I hope all is well with you and nothing serious is going on. I know things can get scarey but don't pannick. Pick up that phone as often as needed to call Dr. Ryder. She's excellent in returning calls!  You're in my thoughts....take care and keep me posted!

If there is one thing I was very grateful through the whole week in the hospital...it was my surgeon, along with Dr. Roye. Even all the residents from the office that were checking up on me listened and got me the answers for the questions I had. Oh...and the hospital staff was great!  Things could have been much worse!  I can say that now

You're right about things possibly being much worst.   I thank God for a caring surgeon and her partner (Dr. Roye) and my PCP is also great.   You take it easy T, and keep me updated on how you are doing and I will do the same.
