Monday mini-goal update

I know everyone has been crazy with work, life and all lately- so I figured I would post this for Angela today. My mini goal was to be down 2 pants sizes by Mother's Day.  Unfortunately- I don't think it is going to happen.  I notice a lot of room in my original size pants, but I am not able to fit into the next size down yet (they go up- but won't button).  I think my stomach still has swelling and this may be part of the issue- plus I am not up to squishing it right now as it is still tender in areas.   I also have to come to terms with the fact that I had lapband surgery, not RNY, and will tend to lose slower- esp without yet having a fill.  I go see Dr Roye next week, and hopefully will be able to schedule my first fill soon after that (first one is always done under fluro by him and not in the office)   Hopefully at that point I will start feeling some restriction and not still be hungry all the time. Ugh- I don't mean to sound whiny- just need to get my head straight, and posting helps me do that. How is everyone else doing on thier goals??

Well, I think you look GREAT! Ummmm, I still haven't got the no-drinking-while-eating thing down yet so I'll stick with that until I get it down. Happy Monday! Jules

Thanks Julie!  The no drinking thing will come, just pour yourself less and less each time.  I never worked on it before surgery, but It wasn't a huge issue for me, since I didn't drink all that much with my meals anyway

My goal was to lose a couple more pounds before I go for my appointment with Dr. Roye next week.  I would also like to lose a few before surgery, but it is very slow going.  So for now I'm just focusing on getting some exercise in and looking forward to the future. You are doing great! When I had lost weight in the past (the last failed attempt) it took a long time to get from a size 22/24 to an 18.  Then 18 to 16 was quick and then 16 to 14 took a while.  It also depends on how you are shaped.  I carry the bulk of my weight in the lower area of my body. In a year from now you will look at the pants you are wearing and be amazed. Keep up the good work and let us know how your follow up goes. Jen

Hello Everyone,

My mini goal was to exercise 30mins a day.   Well, I have been exercising but doing more walking and not on my bike.   I have been feeling a bit blah for the past 2 weeks and I don't feel much like eating.   I don't know what is wrong?

Hello to all!

My Mother's day goal is to loose another 15 pounds (goal weight 155 lbs)... I am now 160 pounds and fitting into a size 12/10! Another 5 to go!

It is beginning to get harder (one day it's down 2 pounds and the next it's up 1.5 pounds)... Therefore I remained the same!

Good luck to all!

Kim
