hernia question

Has anyone ever been diagnosed with a hernia in their stomach?  I had an upper gi on friday (my last test) & the doctor doing it said I had one.  I'm just wondering how it will affect me having surgery.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!

I think the surgery takes longer because they repair the hernia also  (I think!!)
