Laura is having a tough time getting rid of clothes....I'm the same way. However, I cannot bring myself to buy anything new. Yep you read right. Since my surgery I have one shirt and one pair of pants, both of which hang off of my body. LOL I look like a bag lady, but for some strange reason, everytime I try to buy myself something new, I don't know where too look, I cant bring myself to go into the store. I have NO idea what size I wear now because I am still trying to wear 24's and 3x shirts. I'm scared to know where I am at now. Does this make sense to anyone else, or better yet, has this happened to anyone else? Its like, I know i need new clothes because I'm lucky enough to have mine falling off, but I just can't seem to buy any! Strange I know. Just wanted to share, but did want to Hijack LB's post!

Oh Lauren!  I dont have that problem.  I'm sorry...I've been buying and buying and I cant stop!  I have soooooo many clothes that are overflowing my closet.

As a suggestion on where to start, I'd try to go to Lane Bryant, (if you still fit in their clothes) because they can measure you for their right fit jeans so you have an idea where to start!   We should totally plan a shopping trip!  You might want to try Liz Claiborne because of their sale!  I found lots of clothes there for such good prices! I was that way at first Lauren...I was so afraid of disappointment that I didnt want to buy anything but then I HAD to buy a dress for a christmas party and I was sooo shocked when it was 2 sizes smaller than I though and now...well, now I'm a shopping addict!

Laura is dead on about the Liz Claibourne...I was thinking about making another trip up there in the next couple weeks and for $3 a piece on clothes, you just cant go wrong! They have a fitting room and you can just grab several sizes and see what works for you!  Let me know if you want to go, We'll plan another trip!

I don't have the problem of clothes not fitting, but I know where you are coming from  Shopping has always been a hated chore.  So hard to find anything "cute" in plus sizes.  nothing is every stylish- unless you consider fluffy kittens stylish.  Everytime we shop online, we see these perfect thin models (even when shopping at plus sizes stores) modeling the clothes and get this image in our heads how we will look in it.  It comes in, we are so excited- then try in on and want to crawl into a hole because it was NOTHING like we pictured.   That was the old you...you have lost a lot of weight and need to shop for at least some essentials.  Try going to Old Navy, where they will have a range of sizes you can try.  Take 4 different sizes of a pair of pants into the dressing room with you- all the same style so you have an idea what really fits.  Treat yourself to an outfit or two.  Go home, show it off- and plan for a night on the town.  Get all dolled up and show off your new figure.  This should make shopping fun again. Then we can all head for a big shopping spree.....
