I have two transportation questions... 1. How long after RNY did you have to wait to drive?   2.  I'm looking for a bike for after surgery (once I'm cleared for biking, of course).  Right now I'm in love with the cruisers at electrabike.com, particularly the gypsy (isn't she something??).  Does anyone else ride and have a bike to suggest or have experience with the electra brand?  I'm looking for something that is simple, I'm a newbie to riding.  I just want to cruise around town and on bike paths this summer.  NEXT summer maybe I'll look for something a little more zoomy.   Thanks!

No help here but I bike alot in the summer on the bike path. My mother has a thing for bikes...spends alot of $ and 2 years later is looking for a newer model. I've been fortunte enough to get her hand me downs. I will say this...we bought my husband a cheap $100 bike from Sports Authority because we felt...it's a bike, has all the parts you need to make it go and it'll work. It was a huge waste of money as it rode crappy. My dad end up getting a new bike so hubby got his hand me down and the other one sold for $10 in a yard sale. LOL  Shop around and check bike shops. Good luck!

I have a Raleigh....I don't know the model, I got it about 3-4 yrs ago.  It looks like one of their Casual line bikes tho.....upright seat...21 speeds...I use it on the bike path.  I love it...a real comfortable ride.
