The pre-op liquid diet...

is not fun!!  I haven't strayed once, and I'm not tempted too....but my energy level is nonexistant.  I almost fainted yesterday at work.  :o(    I always feel like napping and last night I slept 10 hours!!   I never sleep that much. How many calories did you aim for during the pre-op diet??  I've been coming in around 700- 800. I'm also a strict vegetarian, so I'm only using soy based products as my "lean meat" for dinner.   But I've been getting about 80 grams of protein a day, and I'm drinking tons of water-- 80 oz. or so.    Does it get easier the second week??    The no snacking is the hardest part.  I'm not a bad snacker--I'm used to eating fruit or veggies inbetween meals.  I miss my munchies!  I guess it's good practice for after the surgery though. How much weight did you lose during the pre-op diet?   What kind of dinners did you eat?  (even if they have meat I can substitute!)

Not everyone has a pre-op diet. I had none and am very thankful that. I don't think I woud of made it.  After surgery...it's much easier. So on a good note...the toughest part of the liquids will be your pre-op part.

I sort of remember being a little tired too during pre-op. I think i lost 10lbs or close to it. Its been almost a year now.. seems like forever ago yet, yesterday. My guess may be that you're not spacing your water out properly and washing away your proteins. 80oz is ALOT. But if youre not feeling right call the Drs office and ask them for input as well!! best wishes on your journey
