Period munchies suck!
so.....i still haven't had my hunger come back and i am more than okay with that. i have a new relationship with food. instead of living to eat, i am eating to live. i sometimes forget to eat and i really don't care. tonight though...i am due to get my period in two days, so my tummy is growling like crazy and quite frankly, protein is not making it stop......but a breadstick with peanut butter and some sugar free jelly is more up my alley tonight for a snack. i have these small moments when i feel like a failure, but i remind myself, that nobody is perfect and my pouch isn't going to stretch from a breadstick and 10 fat free pringles. i have been so good. how do you guys handle the period munchies? any ideas for healthier snacks? i actually did make some protein balls.....peanut butter, dry oatmeal, splenda, and vanilla protein powder mixed together and rolled into small balls.
I seem to go through phases myself. But I have had laughing cow cheese or natural peanut butter with unsalted pretzelsor celery. Job Lot sells choc. covered soy nuts and all sorts of soy chips! woohooo Sometimes ill pop a little popcorn in a tbsp of olive oil..just for crunchie munchies! Any suggestions are always a plus. I just do the best I can and try not to be around any bad junk foods.
