Okay, I knew when I went to my 2nd sleep study that I have sleep apnea. However, I didn't realize how bad! My Pulmonologist told me that on average, I stop breathing every TWO minutes! WOW! I'm still shocked by that. I'll be receiving my CPAP machine next week. I'll be following up on May 7th. She said I'll be on the CPAP for probably 9 months to a year before I have another sleep study to see where I'm at. Any one else have experience with this? Thanks Happy Wednesday! Jules

I have one. To be completely honest......I used mine for a while faithfully and now I can't seem to keep it on for more than two hours without waking up to it blowing air next to me into my ear!

I was very fortunate! My study showed I had mild sleep apnea. However, the doctor said I didn't sleep well and only went into a deep sleep for a short time and if I had slept longer, he thinks the results would of came back differently. When finding out I was having WLS, he decided to not put me on a machine and said he'll see me back in 1 year. Good luck with that!

I've heard quite a few people say they don't use their CPAPs. Is there a way for the respitory therapists or docs to know how much we use them? Obviously, I haven't received mine yet. BTW, my number is 10. Is that normal for a moderate sleep apnea person? Thanks for the input! Jules
