1st Surgeon Appt Tomorrow...Questions...

What are some good questions to ask at my first appt tomorrow? What questions did you have that you wish you would have asked then? I'm so freakin' nervous....not about surgery so much as meeting Dr. P. for the first time and going over all my test results, etc. Anything you can think of would be great,,,thanks! Jules

Hey Jules, Good Luck tomorrow!!  I hope you have a terrific first visit with Dr Pohl and he makes you feel at ease with your choices and upcoming surgery.  Be sure to let us know how it goes.

The questions I asked were pretty simple I guess. I asked if it would be Lap or Open. If she would be removing my galbladder. If I'd see her after surgery.

I wouldnt be too worried about the questions. If you forget to ask something, you can always call the office and ask over the phone. If you are certain things you want to ask, I found that it was easier to write them all down before I went because the first appointment you will be getting a lot of information so you may forget what you wanted to say.

Good luck with your apt.  I agree with Laura- I didn't write my questions down, and wished I would have.  I was given plenty of opportunity to ask, but I think I was just overwhelmed.

I already have some questions of my own written down (Microsoft Word doc (of course)). At dinner tonight, I asked my family if they have any questions. I added those to my list. I hope I don't leave there wishin' I'd ask, yet another, question. Thanks for your input. I really appreciate it. Jules
