protien and vitamins? where do you shop?
I went to GNC yesterday, got an unflaored protien and a vanilla powder shake mix too. I think I spent wayyy to much $ on them. I got a chewable mutlivitamin, biotin (which I need to return- it is capsules), and the 2 protiens. Total was $115. Guy really didn't let me feel I could browse the store- I wasn't even in the door and got attacked with a "can I help you find something". I took my list out, and he grabbed the products off the shelf. I guess they just carry thier own brands of things now- no one else's. They didn't have any calcium citrate in a chewable or liquid- that I am still going crazy looking for. If anyone has any suggested places they get thier suppliments- (unfortunately- no time for online shopping at this point- but if you have websites with good deals- pass em on for the future too)
Trying to get everything in place and ready for Weds, mostly just these last items to get, and spring clean the house.
I did the GNC thing right before & after I was in the hospital. Worked o.k. with few complaints. I bought the Calcium supplements there & suffered a kidney stone a few months later. Not one of my smarter purchases .
I believe that a health/food nutrition store works better regarding the vitamins/minerals. You have more choices.
Good luck!
Maybe try "Wholefoods" on North Main Street, E. Prov.? I love that place for all my favorite grains. They have so much shtuff! And the people who work there are very helpful. Good Luck!

There is also a Whole Foods in Garden City in Cranston now. I have purchased a few things to try before my surgery (haven't tasted anything yet). I did see a few reviews for their items online and people seemed to like the vanilla protein shakes.

I saw CVS for vitamins- but already after I got my chewable multi's at GNC. They didn't have the calcium citrate in a chewable- my last thing I need. I was online and saw Vitamin Shoppe carried it in both a chewable and liquid- so I am going there monday to grab it, may check out whole food while I am down that end of the state. Thanks all for ideas!
