I dont think they would give you a hard time anyway.  They have been good about approving just about everyone I know.  Good luck, you will be fine and I am sure you will get an approval.  If I did, anyone can.  I was so healthy it was crazy.  I remember praying for a co-morbidity because I was afraid I would be denied.   Good Luck, Jen

Thanks Laura, Lissa and Jen. I was really wondering about the stomach sleeping thing and I'm not much for noise when I'm sleeping. I even wear earplugs when hubbers starts his snorting and snorin'. Jen, it's really great to hear from you! I still am looking forward to meeting you some time. I have appts coming up in Newport soon. Maybe we can meet and chat! Thanks for the Tricare advice. Happy Wednesday Everyone!

Hey Jules,

It's important for them to know if you have sleep apnea when it comes to anesthesia.   Like others said most of the time it goes away with weight loss, especially if it started after you gained weight.

Take care

Sounds good to me.  Let me know when you are in town.  Tricare was really easy to deal with.  I think I called them 2X daily to check on my approval.  Thank God every time I called a different person answered.  I wanted to know the SECOND I was approved.  I also had a lot of contact with my case manager, she was great.  She even called to check on me after surgery! Good Luck, Jen

I know I am a little late on this, but sorry to hear about the sleep apnea.  I agree with everyone else, it is better to know and make sure all bases are covered before surgery.

HI Jules, I had sleep apnea which doesnt seem to effect me now. I sleep fine, no snoring or anything..and I even wake up pretty much in the same position I went to sleep in, which is almost like a miricle. I used to be all over the bed, sheets off, pillows everywhere.  I tried several masks during the study and chose the nostril pillows. They seemed the most comfy.. but some people seem to like the nose mask. I found that one made/left marks on my face (i'm a sensitive girl i guess, lol) I couldnt imagine going to work with a triangle on my face everyday! But I got used to the machine pretty quick and found I enjoyed the noise of the machine.  Good luck and best wishes
