Motivation!!

So as you all know Dawn, Kelly (a bariatric nurse at RI Hospital) and I went shopping at Liz Claiborne yesterday. After we bought a ton of stuff at Liz Claibourne we decided to hit up Wrentham outlet as well. While at Wrentham we went into Anne Klein where everything in the store was 1/2 off  and I found This...... Regularly $170, marked down to $40. So that means I got it for $20!! The picture doesnt do this dress justice, I love it!! Its still too small now but I'm still losing pretty quickly. Its a size 14 and currently I'm in an 18 top, 16 pant so this is my summer motivation.  I WILL fit into this dress this summer! This morning I got on my treadmill and did something I havent done yet....I RAN! Granted, it was only for about 30 seconds, but none the less I did it. I've been gradually increasing my speed and incline, so I did a mile at 4mph on an incline of 3, then finished it off with about 30 seconds at 5mph and then 5 minutes of cooling down before stopping. I was exhausted and out of breath, but excited that I ran! I'm leaving this dress hanging out in my bedroom to help keep myself motivated, Is anyone else doing something similar? What's your motivation today?

GREAT dress! Whatta deal!!!   And FANTASTIC about your exercise advances!  That always makes me feel great when I make progress in my workout.  You go girl!!!!

Nothing particularly motivating for me right now, other than to get to my SURGERY!!!  Darn, the waiting is the hardest part!  I don't want to lose too much weight before my visit to Dr Pohl, and then hit a plateau just when he is expecting me to lose!  argh!!  So I am trying to hold my own until then.  I have lost two pounds but that took about a month.  I'm not really trying yet....but soon.  So I guess I am motivated to hold my own for now, and continue with my exercise regimen.

Angela! I can see you in that dress already! Wow! You are beautiful! You're doing so well and you're so committed, it's just a matter of time and that beautiful dress will have to be taken in! One of these days I will be joining you all for a shopping trip myself. Meanwhile, my motivation is to go through my closet as I lose weight and get rid of all my 'FAT' clothes as I go. I will be sure to post them on here as I go. Happy Sunday! Jules

That's a great motivation tool Angela. I was in Walmart the other day and they had cargo pants on sale for $7, so I bought two of them.  One that will fit now and the next size down.  Not sure how many more sizes I will drop so I'm trying not to go too crazy.  I also tried on some suit jackets the other day.  I have a few social events in May and I just might pick one up for them. ok Angela- dibs on the dress when it is too big for you- that is adorable!!   What bargains you guys got!!  Sounds like the trip was a blast!   What motivates me- watching a big dog show like Westminster, and knowing that one day soon- I will be there in the ring with them- being able to run without being out of breath, and not bouncing everywhere.
