Update on Sue
I talked to Sue's husband today and things arent looking too good. First, let me re-cap. Her Lap RNY was on March 5th.
After surgery she wasnt feeling well and they discovered that she had a leak in her new pouch, so she had a 2nd surgery on March 9th. When they did the 2nd surgery, they repaired the leak and also found out that she had diverticulitis and it burst. During the surgery, they irrigated her insides, however, she became septic because of the fluids leaking into her system. The 2nd surgery was open so it took a toll on her body. After the 2nd surgery, she was put on a ventilator and has been completely sedated since the 9th.
Her husband told me today that now she has pneumonia and is still on the ventilator. The doctors are planning on putting in a trach tube tonight or tomorrow morning, which involves making a hole in her throat.
Sue is honestly the nicest, most giving person you will ever meet and I feel horrible that she is going through this. Please keep her and her family in your prayers.

OMG, how horrible for Sue and her family. I will keep good thoughts for her full recovery. Please keep the updates coming. How sad.
