My echo stress test

I went to see the cardiologist today for my echo stress test.  I am sure glad I exercise, because it would have been tough if I didn't.  I did work out this morning, and my calves were a bit tight, but they didn't seem to bother me during the test.

First I had the echo (heart ultrasound) and got a good look at my heart murmur.  Then it was on to the treadmill.  Not sure what your average overweight hottie does on that treadmill, but I was on it for 7 minutes and got up to 4mph with the incline, before they brought me back down.  They said I did really well.  I wasn't even sweating, but my heart rate took what seemed like forever to come back down.  I am looking forward to being in even better shape when I get thinner.

Dr Levin said he wants me to come back to discuss my test results and to go over my heart murmur with me.  I asked if there was an issue with the surgery, and he said NO.  So I am thankful for that, and also thankful that I now have a cardiologist to partner with me as I get older.  He's a really nice guy too.

Next up, the gall bladder ultra sound the day after tomorrow.  Nothing to eat or drink after midnite tomorrow nite, which is no problem, cos I'll be sound asleep!

Great job with your tests. For me that was the part that took the most work...scheduling and making all the appointments! I was glad when that was over with.

I'm glad that your cardiologist said surgery is a go!
