I feel like I got good news and bad news today.  The good news is I got my Surgery Date!!!!!!!!!!! The bad news it's not until April 23rd!     I guess from what Dr Pohl's office said that he will be away and that was the next appointment they had.  So I've got almost 6 weeks to be happy, scared, excited and nervous. All I can say is hopefully it goes by quickly. Thanks for "listening"! I needed to tell someone that knows where I'm coming from!!

Congrats on the date!!!!  I know what you mean about all the feelings- I meet with Dr Roye friday (hopefully to get my date) and the feelings are coming out of nowhere- esp those scared/nervous ones.  Focus on the end!!!

Congrats Lissa, It will be here before you know it. ALEXIA  Good Luck Friday.  I am a big cheerleader for Dr. Roye. I believe in him 110%. No one on this earth has ever gotten me to quit smoking or lose weight and I have tried a million times, but he did it.  I have never been so healthy. Nancy

Congrats on getting your surgery date!!!!   Also, thanks for explaining about Dr Pohl being away. That explains why I won't be seeing him until Apr 24th for my first visit.  But by then, you will be done with your surgery and making your way to the loser's bench!!  Congrats!!

I was thinking about you all evening! I was hoping that I would get to see you before I left, but Dr Pohl was still in with you and I had to get going because I was meeting someone.  I'm sorry that Dr Pohl is going away and you wont get to have your surgery until April 24, but look at it this way....You have plenty of time to get ready now and you have all of us around to help you!

Alexia, Cara and Angela, Thank you all for your encouraging words!  I think I'm actually not so sad about the longer wait, now that I've had time to live with it for a little while. As much as it would be nice to have the surgery sooner, this will give me time to get as prepared as I can be. I'm going to try to start working on not drinking liquid during meals and stuff like that. Maybe if I can break some of my "bad" habits now, then it will be a little easier after surgery.  Also, I really appreciate the support from everyone here at OH I've met either in person or here on the board. I know that all of you have helped me a lot already. Great new friends that understand this strange journey
