Hey LB, Bank of America is a BIG world! hahaha!!  I worked for the bank when it was Fleet,  thru Y2K, all the mergers from then until finally it became BOA.  My office/cubicle was in Allendale Park in Johnston, which is now FM Global only.  I supported Retirement Plan Services in Lincoln, and then I supported Wealth Management in Boston.  I began working for the bank in 1998, and was there for 7 1/2 yrs before volunteering for a layoff.   I still have loads of friends who work there, most of them are either in Boston or on Dupont Drive, or are telecommuting.   I enjoyed meeting you at the support group too!!  Thanks for sharing so much good info that nite! Hi Jen, When I worked for the Bank there were two floors of people who worked in Information Technology in one capacity or another.  I don't recall his name, but maybe would recognize him if I saw his face.  A lot of folks I just passed in the hall.  I take a class at URI and one night I saw a woman there who looked so familiar to me.  When I asked her where I knew her from, we both laughed cos it was from the Bank, but neither of us work there now.  When she told me her name, I recognized it, but never had put her face with it while I was working there.  There are SO many BOA associates in the area now.   Cara

Hi- I am Beth- aka Alexia.  I am a 35 yr old mom of 3 boys, Alex (14), Andre (7), and Ashton (5).  My hubby and I live in Glocester, where we also breed and show Siberian Huskies.  Besides my 3 dogs, I have a cat, lots of fish, and 2 frogs (gotta love living with all boys).  I have been a stay at home mom for just over 2 years now, previously working as a Warranty Admin and Five Star Coordinator for Chrysler.  I am an Independant Consultant for The Body Shop at Home, getting to bring "spa time" into people's homes.  I am addicted to reading Terry Pratchett books and love all types of puzzles (suduko, crossword, logic, etc) when I actually have the time. I am just finished my pre-surgical testing and will be meeting with Dr Roye on the 14th of March to discuss surgery, etc.  Unfortunately, I don't think I will get my surgery date at this point, because I am seriously considering a different surgery than the Lap Band now, and will probably require further testing.  I love this board, and all the support it offers!  I would truely be lost without it!  I am inspired daily!!

Wow, you really have your hands full with 3 boys and 3 dogs!

Good luck with your surgery decision, sometimes it can be a tough one! Go with your gut, that will be the right choice.

How did you get the nickname Alexia???

Hope to see you at next months meeting!

The Alexia came from ages ago when I was setting up my aol account and wanted to "hide".  I chose the name that my oldest would have been, had he been born a girl.  Every since, it has always been my email, even when I have changed ISP's or username.

HI Everyone, my name is Tammy. I am from RI but live in NH right now, but still travel to RI to work. I know that seems odd.. but I work with special needs children and I hate the fact that so many kids get such a big turnover of staff, I didnt want to do that. So i kept my job even after I moved 5 yrs ago. I have a cat, Mama and 2 dogs, a golden retriever named Teak and a greyhound named Puffy. Her true name is Regal Creampuff, but... Puffy works better for me. lol (and btw, puffy will be in the Park Ave Puppies fashion show at the pet expo this coming weekend, she is quite the DIVA!) I had RNY on May 9, 2007 and have lost over 120lbs. I feel great and actually weigh less then I did as a teenager! The reason I decided to have surgery was my health. It was one of the best decisions of my life. I have recently gotten engaged to an awesome guy and I will be moving to Canada, probably by the end of the yr or so. It will be rough to leave everyone, but it is the direction my life is heading. I wish everyone a wonderful journey!

Great idea Laura!  So lets see....I'm Angela, 36 yrs old and I live in Bristol. I'm a southern girl, only moving to RI about a year and a half ago. I'm recently married (June)to the love of my life who I met online several years ago and  work for a small cross-media company  in New Bedford as a Project Manager. My husband and I both love to read, so our house is packed with books. A few favorites are John Grisham, Dean Koontz and James Patterson to name just a few.  I had RNY on Nov 13 and so far I'm down 101 lbs. Its the best decision I've ever made, I finally feel as though I'm living life rather than just sitting around and watching it go by. Ironically, I'm finding that I absolutely love cooking.I love taking a recipe that isnt friendly and changing it around to make it something I can eat. I have had some successes and some failures, but thats what makes everything so much fun. Before, it was easier to just pick up something on the way home or order something in, now I enjoy cooking something healthy and I know exactly what I'm eating.

I have met so many wonderful people off of OH and I love getting together with everyone when possible. Many I consider friends and hope to be friends with for a very long time to come.
