My appointment was at Newport Naval Clinic. It lasted 2 1/2 hours long! Whoa Baby! I'm glad it's over with and I hope it's acceptable to Dr. Pohl and Tricare. I thought for sure I would get a pass or fail at the end of it. I have no idea how they can even give an eval within just 2 1/2 hours of meeting some one. I'll be seeing my regular counselor too before seeing Dr. P. I think she is more apt to have the ability of judging whether or not I can handle the stresses that accompany RNY.  Good thing happening today is I get some quiet time while my grandson is visiting his Daddy and I have the WLS support group to check out tonight! Later All!

The psych test was one of the toughest for me! It was a long and drawn out process that basically took all day! I even had to go there twice.

Now that I think of it, that whole day was crazy, I even had the cardiologist appointment in between. At the end of the psych appointment, the Dr did say, I am going to recommend you for the surgery, I think you are a good candidate.

Good job getting your testing done! It helps the process move along faster!

Hi Julie,

I think the psych eval was extremely long and at the end I was tired.  All the other test, maybe not the sleep study, are a piece of cake.

I just love how supportive everyone is here! I feel a bit better about the psych test now that I've gone to the support group tonight. I've decided that I will call Tricare tomorrow and see what I can do to get them to actually pay for another psych eval from someone who is recommended by Dr. Pohl. This woman is not done yet!!!

Way to take control of your progress, woman!  You will be  in surgery before you know it!
