What do you think?
One thing I have to say is....it's good to know what 'type' of eater you are. How do you determine that?
I have no clue what type of eater I am. Is there a type called 'convenience' eating? I eat when it's convenient for me and I eat as much as I want for as long as I want. I eat when I'm bored. I eat because I LOVE flavor! Does the psych help determine this?
I was originally going for Lap-band and have recently decided on the RNY because...
I love fatty and sweet foods and feel the RNY will be a good tool to remind me what I can and can't eat.
I really don't like the idea of having plastic in my body for the rest of my life.
I know more about the success rates and and long term info with BPS than with Lap Band.
I haven't had the surgery yet but from what I understand, the pre-op testing and visits are almost identical.
Good luck!
Jules
hmmm...thats a hard one to answer. I would really discuss it with your doctor and see what they say. Either way, I'm guessing they will recommend that you continue with a therapist after surgery to help you fight the emotional eating because both of these surgeries bring with them a roller coater of emotions.
Sorry I cant be a better help, but please keep us posted and let us know your decision and how you're doing.
