hey Dawn, The only thing i can say is i went through the stage one on campbells cream of chicken strained and shakes.  The cream soup was fat free, low sodium they sell it at stop & shop.  At least its only for 1 week then it gets easier moving onto pureed.  I am actually going onto ground foods tomorow as i am moving into stage 4 and 5.  Good luck!

Hi Dawn!

Yes the campbell's cream of chicken is the way to go - I even added some mashed potatoe to it - yummy!

Infact I still find soups the best - been doing Progresso fat free soups....

I agree to the cream of chicken - actually has some flavor to it.  I blended it in my "Magic Bullet"  with some milk.  Another of my favs was some meat from KFC and lots of gravy - put it in the bullet and blend!  mmmmmmmmmmm

The Cream of Chicken sound soooo yummy. I'm actually on Pureed right now. When I was looking over that soup, I thought I couldn't have it because it was "Cream" of Chicken. THANK YOU!!  I'm going to enjoy it!   Looking to make a Lentel soup as well.  Yummo! Tons of protein, speck of fat... Good Eats! Any other idea's would be appreciated too!!

I used to make my own creamed soups. Using no salt soup starter/boullion. I would add it to Milk, but used "Calorie Countdown" it has lower sugar and calories and helped because lactose and myself dont mix that well all the time. Then I would also add protein powder to it and a jar of baby food (meat). Sorry Im not much of a measuring person.. It was just trial and error. If I find the actual recipe.. Ill gladly forward it along. Also I have made tomato soup and pureed chick peas in. Thats good too. Have fun creating

I highly recommend Eating well after weight loss surgery. It was given to me as a gift by another WLS patient before my surgery and I've really put it to good use. If you want to sample a few recipes let me know Julie, I'll send you a few and you can decide.  Dawn, I also made a broccoli and cheese soup a few nights ago that would be ok for you. I modified one of my favorite recipes to make it WLS friendly. I'll try to get that posted tomorrow.
