5 appointments made today!
Yup! I've been a busy gal today!
2/26 Dietician @ Newport Naval Clinic 10:45 AM
2/28 Psychologist @ Newport Naval Clinic 8:15 AM
3/04 Neurosurgeon (I've seen for five years) 1:30 PM (Spine follow-up and letter of medical necessity for Insurance Co).
3/06 Pulmonary Specialist consult (Dr. Millman) for Sleep Study 1:45 PM
3/10 Cardiovascular eval with Dr. Lanna 2:30 PM
I was literally on the phone for SIX stinkin' hours! Mostly because either the suggested specialists don't take Tricare or because Tricare makes us jump through hoops of hoops, which is why I'm not seeing the suggested Dietician and Psychologist! What a goat rope!
I can't imagine what I'll go through when it comes time to get pre-authoization for the surgery itself!
I can't wait until the Support Group at RW this Thursday to meet others like myself!
Anyone else experience this sort of insurance problems?
Happy Monday!!!
Experience insurance problems? uh YEAH! That's why I had the psych eval I had today!
You go girl! You are getting right on those appointments now. Great accomplishment!!!! Good luck tmrw with the dietician!

Julie,
That is a great accomplishment, to have gotten so much done in 6 hrs... Trust Me!
If you ONLY KNEW how many hours I had to endure on the phone since my journey began when I called the Dr. Roye's for the initial appt. I began back on April 20, 2007. The time on the phone making appt's were nothing as apposed to my Insurance Company f****** with me.
Best of Luck!!
Hello my peeps! (that's teenage daughter thang)
Thanks for your comments! I guess spending all this time on the phone is worth not having to pay thousands of dollars for the surgery and all the appointments. I'll deal with it.
Dawn, I read your blog and can't imagine all the crap you've gone through with your surgery getting approved! And you didn't quit!!!!!!
That in itself is strength! Good for you!
Happy to hear from you all!
Happy Wednesday!
