Pre-Surg Weight loss questions

Does everyone have to lose weight before surgery? Which weight do they use to submit to the insurance company for pre-approval from the insurance company?

I think it depends on the doctor and what they require.   I think they use your initial weight.   All the best on your weight loss journey.

Dr Pohl had me lose 20lbs. The lower your weight the easier it is for surgery and it also shows your commitment to your new life journey. Best wishes...
